About the course

Simulation

The content is presented sequentially in steps, beginning with a brief video discussion based on the suggested readings, module bibliography, and resources. Standards of Best Practice from the International Nursing Association of Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) underpin the content. Tools from the National League for Nursing (NLN), Debriefing and Promoting Excellence, and Reflective Learning in Simulation (PEARLS) are highlighted throughout the Debriefing discussion. The communication and learning strategy, Advocacy-Inquiry, is discussed and then used to demonstrate a simulation-based debriefing from my personal experience. Also included is a brief Virtual Simulation opportunity. The course concludes with recommendations from the author, a check of your knowledge quiz, and a rich bibliography and resources.

Please start with the suggested open-sourced readings, which will enrich your understanding of the module's content.
